LOCAL FOOD RESOURCE GUIDE



Whenever possible, we encourage people to purchase products from local producers of meat, vegetables, eggs, and dairy.  Not only is this better for the environment (being closer means less fossil fuels are burned) and better for your local economy, it is also better for your overall health.  Purchasing locally means that you build a relationship with the person producing the food you will eat.  It also ensures that you eat what’s available to you seasonally. We need different vitamins and minerals during different times of the year.  If we eat what’s seasonal, we are more in tune with that philosophy.

Below you will find a list of local farms that offer meats and vegetables. We are also interested in resources for eggs and dairy to include in this list.  If you are a producer of these products or any other local products and would like to be included on our webpage, please email us a brief description of the products along with your contact information to yarrow@seasurf.net
